Nevada State History

These scripts accompany the textbook “Nevada, Our Home.” They are organized by chapter and serve to preview or reinforce important content. Additionally, they adhere to strategies outlined by Dr. Chase Young, Dr. Tim Rasinski, and Dr. Jan Hasbrouk, aimed at nurturing reading fluency goals, particularly in prosody.

The scripts are intentionally brief, ranging from 450 to 525 words, allowing students to practice throughout the week without consuming too much instructional time for you, the teacher.

For more insights into how these scripts are used, you can view a lesson demonstration available on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FceCc1UA_yA
